Position Summary |
Seeking an enthusiastic registered Clinical Pharmacist, Grade 2, to work in the Sunshine Hospital Pharmacy Department. The position is Fixed Term, Full Time 80 hours per fortnight (Maternity Leave) - available from 21/12/20. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to join our pharmacy team.
This role will support the Grade 3 Clinical Co-ordinator in providing a comprehensive and professional clinical pharmacy service to the patients and clients of the Sunshine Hospital and contribute to decisions that shape our health service.
To be successful in this role you:
- Must hold general registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Must have experience in the provision of pharmacy services in a wide range of clinical settings
- Must have excellent communication skills and an ability to keep abreast of current knowledge and accepted practices
- Must be able to optimise patient outcomes by working to achieve the best Quality Use of Medicines and advise on issues relating to rational prescribing
- Must act as the representative of the pharmacy service in all matters relating to patient care
- Must ensure that any risks and adverse events are reported and assessed in line with developing and implementing prevention strategies
