About the Role
Full Time Grade 2 OT Outpatient Plastics/Hand Therapy 1EFT Maternity Leave Position
- Seeking an enthusiastic, driven occupational therapist to join Western Health’s Plastics and Hand Therapy OT team.
- Contribute to research projects and develop service process, whilst managing a caseload of outpatient adult and paediatric trauma and elective plastics patients
- This position is based at Sunshine and Footscray Hospitals within a client centred, occupation focused service.
Experience in hand therapy is essential with demonstrated well developed assessment, clinical reasoning and intervention skills with a hand trauma population. Experience in formal research and quality projects, along with complex patient caseloads is preferable due to current commitments for 2019. The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with Plastic Surgeons and nurses and should possess strong communication and time management skills. Supervision of a grade 1 and students may also be required.
