About Us Western Health manages three acute public hospitals: Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospital. It also operates the Sunbury Day Hospital, Transition Care at Hazeldean and a range of community based services. We care for a culturally diverse population of more than 800,000 people. Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
About the Role
Western Health is currently seeking applications from experienced and currently Registered Nurses and/or Registered Midwives to participate in our 6 week Refresher Program and re-join our acute public hospitals in a supportive environment. Registered Nurses from Specialty areas are welcome to apply.
Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years’ post registration experience in an Australian acute care or sub-acute setting, as well as current registration with AHPRA.
The Refresher Program is a 6 week fixed term program, Monday to Friday (at 32 hours per week). The program will run from 4th June to 13th July 2018. Participants must commit to attending the 6 week program with an opportunity to be employed in a ward, unit or on our casual bank.

Essential Criteria
To be considered, all applicants must:
- eligible to work as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife in Australia
- current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
- have a minimum of 4 years' experience working in an acute/sub-acute hospital in Australia
- commit to attending the 6 week program, Monday – Friday, from 4th June to 13th July 2018, at Western Health
- have immunisation clearance prior to commencement. Please refer to the immunisation form attached.
