About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and innovative new Speech Pathology graduate to join the Western Health Speech Pathology Department. This rotational position provides diverse experience across the subacute and acute adult streams.

This is a 12 month new graduate position, commencing February 2020. Please note interviews are a two stage process involving a screening interview via phone followed by a panel interview. Please refer to the Position Description for selection criteria and the Application Instructions for specific application instructions that must be followed.


  • Assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders within the acute and subacute adult streams
  • Active participation within the Speech Pathology and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies

Skills & Experience OR Essential Criteria

  • Completed or completing a degree in Speech Pathology in 2019 with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Undergraduate experience and theoretical knowledge in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders within the adult setting
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
