About the Role
Sleep Scientist - Grade 2 – Permanent Full Time (80 hours per fortnight)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist to demonstrate their expert knowledge and skills within our Sleep Disorders Unit.
The position, on a rotating roster, will involve patient preparation prior to overnight sleep studies, nasal continuous positive airway pressure implementation and titration, overnight study monitoring, and aspects of sleep study analysis. The successful applicant will have a Science degree with related majors, excellent communication skills, and demonstrate initiative and confidence when working in a clinical setting.
It would be expected that you hold or are working toward a recognised qualification in polysomnography or sleep technology. eg. BRPT
The Sleep Disorders Unit at Footscray Hospital is NATA Accredited, and performs a variety of in-laboratory and home based PSG and treatment studies.
