About the Role

Western Health Rehabilitation Service currently has a 30 bed rehabilitation specific ward at the Sunshine Hospital in addition to rehabilitation beds at Footscray Hospital (co-located in a 20 bed subacute and ortho-geriatric unit) and rehabilitation beds at the Williamstown Hospital campus (co-located in a 30 bed subacute unit).

The Rehabilitation Service specialises in Neurological, Orthopaedic and General Rehabilitation.  Applications are invited from suitably qualified Medical Officers interested in pursuing further training as a Registrar in Rehabilitation Medicine. We are offering 2 registrar training opportunities at Western Health for 2020. The positions are for a 12 month placement looking after inpatients in the Rehabilitation ward at Sunshine, in combination with consults at Footscray and outpatient clinics commencing in early February 2020.
