About the Role

 

Western Health has an excellent reputation of providing Graduate Nurses with a smooth transition from student to Registered Nurses.  This is achieved by providing a multi-layered support structure form Clinical Educators through to preceptors.  We offer an extensive orientating at the commencement of your Graduate Program, one further graduate study day during the year and frequent graduate specific in – service sessions.  In our supportive environment Western Health will provide each Graduate Nurse with 2 clinical rotations over our multiple sites.  Our Graduate Nurses are encouraged to preference these to assist building an indvisualised program. 

Essential Criteria

  • Must have completed or completing a Nursing Bachelor Degree from dates of January 2021 to June 2022.

Applying to Western Health using the online Process. Each applicant must include:

  • Letter of Application (no more than one page)
  • Concise Curriculum Vitae including a list of all undergraduate clinical placements (Hospital, type of ward/experience and number of days). Please include two references.
  • A certified transcript of all results (key to results to be included).
  • Complete copies of two recent clinical placement.  One should be from a recent adult acute placement, it can be from second year if you haven’t had a placement in adult acute 3rd year.  The other clinical appraisal can be from any other clinical placement.  You need to submit your summative appraisals from each clinical placement. If you do not have acute adult placement form 2nd or 3rd year you can use a sub –acute placement from a public hospital.
  • One recent passport sized / style photograph (please embed into your cover letter)
