Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's at Sunshine Hospital.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced Perioperative Nurses to join our team as we open the Operating Suite and DOSA (Day of Surgery Admissions) in the Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital – Sunshine.
We are seeking a team of experienced, motivated and engaged Scrub scout, Anaesthetic and Pacu nurses that are committed to delivering high quality, safe and person centred care.
The Operating Suite comprises four operating rooms and one procedure room. We will provide care for elective and emergency patients and accommodate a range of day and multi day procedures. The specialities for adult and paediatric patients includes obstetrics and gynaecology services for women; and plastic, orthopaedic, ENT and general surgery procedures for children.
The complex also comprises a Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) centre that will provide care for surgical patients during the admission and recovery phase of their surgical journey.
Skills & Experience / Essential criteria
- Registration with APHRA
- Must have a minimum 3 years perioperative experience
- Desirable to have Post Graduate certificate/diploma or be working towards completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
