About the Role
Seeking an enthusiastic Grade 3 Social Worker who demonstrates high level open and effective communication, can lead and promote effective teamwork, deliver high quality person centred inter-professional care, and exhibits ethical and professional responsibility.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker who can demonstrate a high level of specialised clinical knowledge and capability to provide professional supervision and clinical leadership to a small social work team. This role contributes to professional and service development, leads research and quality activities, supports the clinical education program, and holds responsibility for data reporting and analysis. This role supports social work career progression through opportunities for further learning and participation in departmental and organisational committees and activities.
Duties
- Demonstrate extensive, evidence based specialist knowledge, clinical reasoning and competencies, to lead and enhance patient care in area of practice
- Lead service development and evaluation through quality improvement activities or research projects where appropriate
- Participate and represent the service in consultation with service manager at relevant committees, working groups and meetings
- Provide high quality clinical supervision to junior staff and students as required, that is timely, flexible and responsible, that encompasses performance development planning and performance management where relevant
- Demonstrate flexibility/responsiveness within professional practice/duties/roles and assume extra responsibility as required to meet organisational priorities and appropriately delegates as necessary
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor/Masters of Social Work degree and eligibility for AASW membership
- Minimum 7 years clinical social work experience
- Experience in leadership and supervision of staff
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
- Research and quality activity experience
- Computer literacy
- Current Working With Children Check
