About the Role

The Casual Grade 1 Radiographers will provide support and backfill on an as needed basis and will play an integral role in the delivery of imaging services to the people of the West.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of diagnostic imaging and exemplary patient care across Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospitals. Extensive specialist modality training will be provided to successful candidates.

As the successful applicant for this position, you will have exceptional clinical imaging skills, good communication, motivation and dedication to ongoing clinical excellence.

Duties

Actively support, participate and assist in the daily work in the modality rostered to by:

  • Demonstrating a raised level of technical ability in the field of General Radiography
  •  Assist with the daily QA of image quality and radiation safety on all equipment.
  • Participate in relevant professional development and continuing education activities
  • Ensure the ALARA principle is followed at all times
  • Adheres to WHMI correct patient Identification processes
  • Support and contribute to quality and continuous improvement activities

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant for this position will have

  • Exceptional level of technical ability in the field of General Radiography
  • Excellent communication
  • Proven dedication to ongoing clinical skill development and training.

Essential requirements

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Radiation User Licence  (Vic)
  • Working with Children’s Check (WWC)
