An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Registered Nurse interested in a role in an integrated Subacute, Acute Aged Care and Ortho-geriatric unit at Footscray Hospital.

The unit operates 32 beds for patients requiring Acute Aged Care, Ortho-geriatric care, Geriatric Evaluation and Management and Rehabilitation. The unit operates an interprofessional practice model in partnership with Geriatric and Rehabilitation Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health, Ancillary Services and our Volunteer team.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with acute care skills and experience with caring for patients following Orthopaedic Surgery with a specific focus on patients following fracture neck of femur.

The successful candidate must have the passion to care for older people and people with complex care needs. They will also have demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of an interprofessional health care team.
