Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
About the Role Seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic Division 1 Registered Nurse with competent clinical and interpersonal skills to join our Ward 2E dynamic team on a permanent full-time/part-time contract. This 32 bed Ward specialises in care of acutely ill Oncology, Haematology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Endocrinology patients with complex care needs.
The successful applicant must be willing to work in a busy and challenging environment, be a team player and be committed to personal and professional development. Recent acute medical experience in one of the above specialities is essential.

Duties

- Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies

- Be proactive about identifying and addressing issues that may pose barriers to patients in receiving Best Care
- Participate in care and review of care procedures individually and as a part of a team.
Skills and Experience
- Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse
- Possess excellent clinical and organisational skills
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Has minimum 12 months experience in at least one of the above specialities
- Positive attitude with desire to work collaboratively as a part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate evidence of undertaking professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing expertise
- Management of CVADs
- Administration of Chemotherapy
- Peritoneal dialysis CAPD and APD
