An exciting opportunity has arisen at Western Health (WH) for an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Luminal Gastroenterology Lead. The successful applicant will provide high quality clinical care to the patients of Western Health; lead, enhance and expand the IBD clinical service, increase the profile of IBD care within WH and in the WH catchment area; perform and lead IBD research and teaching; contribute substantially to the general clinical, teaching and research activities of the WH Gastroenterology and Endoscopic Services Units; supervise and train advanced trainees in gastroenterology and other junior medical staff.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

• Ward service cover at Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals
• Attend IBD, Gastroenterology and Endoscopy clinics
• Perform endoscopy sessions at Footscray, Sunshine and Sunbury Hospitals
• Participation in the Gastroenterology Units quality assurance, coding, triaging and audit activities
