Medical Registrar - Advanced Trainee 

Temporary Full Time September 2015 - January 2016

An exciting opportunity has become available to recruit a Medical Registrar / Advanced Trainee (completed or working towards completion of the FRACP Clinical Examination) for the Hospital in the Home (HITH) program at Western Health.  This new position has become available to assist our current HITH program towards a medical lead model.

The role will provide high quality of care to the patients within the HITH service of Western Health and will engage and consult with clinicians in inpatient services to help facilitate redirection of inpatient to HITH where appropriate.

The HITH program covers all three campuses of Western Health and encompasses medical and surgical specialities.

The position is available to medical practitioners who have completed at least 3 years post graduate degree. Past working experience within the Australian Medical Hospital System for at least two (2) years is highly desirable. If you wish to apply you must meet the Mandatory Criteria as noted below:

• Australian Trained Medical Graduates: General Registration with AHPRA and who have completed a minimum of 3 years full time medical employment post MBBS graduation
• International Medical Graduates: Limited / General Registration with AHPRA and who have completed a minimum of 2 years full time medical employment in Australia (desirable).  Must have passed AMC MCQ Part 1 and achieved a ranking of 7 or above in IELTs (listening, reading, writing and speaking)
