Position Summary

Our Emergency Nurses have strong clinical understanding and the ability to collaborate effectively with an inter-professional team to ensure patients can receive the highest quality care when facing potentially life-threatening conditions. You will be a high performer and a team player who is motivated, enthusiastic and consumer focused. 

Sunshine Hospital’s Emergency Department currently treats 65,000 patients annually and has received a $34.9 million dollar redevelopment.

The Nursing team is supported by experienced Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Instructors who provide clinical education and supervision in this unit seven days a week.  Both full time and part time positions are also available.

With multiple position available we invite you to become part of our experienced nursing team.

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Successful completion of a Graduate Nurse Program
  • Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
  • Experience in Emergency Departments or post-graduate Emergency or Critical Care Nursing is highly desirable
  • Able to do a rotating roster (including night duty and weekends)
  • Most importantly, a commitment to high quality, safe and person centred patient care!
