Position Summary

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, experienced and innovative Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Community Residential Drug Withdrawal Units (CRDWU) to join the leadership team at Drug Health Services. Western Health’s Drug Health Services provide an extensive range in-patient and out-patient treatment services to people struggling with substance abuse issues. We are committed to providing high quality care that places clients and their families at the centre of their treatment. Program areas include Adolescent Community Programs, Adult and Specialist Services, Youth and Adult Community Residential Drug Withdrawal Units, Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation for Women, Dual Diagnosis Residential Rehabilitation, and Addiction Medicine/Nurse Practitioner Clinics.

The NUM CRDWU plays a key leadership role within Drug Health Services. In this position you will be responsible for the operational and clinical management of our 12-bed Adult Unit and 4-bed Youth Unit. Working collaboratively Addiction Medicine and other key community programs, you will be focussed on ensuring the CRDWU delivers Best Care, in line with Western Health values and strategic commitments. You will also be integrally involved in the planning and development of new models of care and leading their implementation in the CRDWU team as we transition into the New Footscray Hospital in 2025.
