About the Role
Are you looking to broaden your clinical leadership and management experience?
We are offering a permanent full time position for a suitably qualified Scientific Manager.
This exciting Grade 4 role is responsible for the management of the Sleep Disorders Unit, Respiratory Function Laboratories, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Assessment Service and Neurophysiology Laboratories across Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. The role also oversees the Stroke Clinical Trial team.
We provide diagnostic services for more than 5,000 Western Health patients every year and actively participate in quality improvement and research initiatives.
Our laboratories are equipped with modern technologies that have all undergone recent equipment upgrades or replacement. These are all maintained by comprehensive service agreements with vendors. Both the Respiratory and Sleep laboratories are accredited with TSANZ and ASA/NATA.
The role is well supported by an enthusiastic team of scientists, with a Grade 3 Clinical Lead in each specialty and combined scientific workforce of approximately 18.5EFT.
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will work closely with the Heads of Unit from Respiratory and Sleep Disorders Medicine and Neurology, and will demonstrate relevant clinical and management experience in Sleep, with additional experience in Respiratory Function Testing and/or Neurophysiology being seen favourably.
