Western Health has now been established an independent Renal Dialysis Service for many years. The Renal Service provides a comprehensive suite of services ranging from pre-dialysis education and management, Acute and maintenance Dialysis, education and support for home Dialysis, training and research opportunities. Sunshine Hospital Dialysis Unit is an established service that has undergone rapid growth and dynamic change, underpinning a strong nursing philosophy.

Sunshine Dialysis Unit is a purpose built facility at Sunshine Hospital.  We have a busy unit 15 chair capacity operating 3 patient shifts per day with isolation capabilities. The facility is open at 0700 through to 2330. Currently we can offer mainly 12 hour day shifts and rotate through to evening shifts at 12 and 6 hours shift durations. In 2015, Sunshine Dialysis Unit commenced operating an acute dialysis service, supporting Critical Care Services and inpatient activity at Sunshine Hospital. Acute Dialysis is operating one shift to cover the day hours of 0730-1600 and 0800-1630.

We are seeking nurses to work in both Chronic and Acute Haemodialysis: experience in these fields, in one or both of these areas desirable. You will be required to work across rotating shifts there will be the capacity to train in acute should this not be part of your portfolio.
