About the Role

Seeking an experienced manager and or clinician to lead the large multidisciplinary Community Based Rehabilitation service at Western Health.  This is a diverse role that would suit someone with strong leadership and interpersonal skills who is wanting to use their analytical approach to further develop this already well-established and respected service.  Duty Statement available on request.

  • Locum (Feb 2020), Full Time position
  • Service includes a wide range of disciplines, patient cohorts and provides both centre and home based therapies. 
  • Across Sunshine and Williamstown sites
  • Works collaboratively with another Service Manager Community Based Rehabilitation
  • Various management portfolio responsibilities
  • Well supported by a management team

Duties

  • Operational and staff management of the service including a large physiotherapy team
  • Lead and facilitate high quality timely care through the multidisciplinary team in line with Western Health’s “Best Care” framework
  • Lead and facilitate timely and appropriate patient access and flow of patients into and out of the service
  • Ensure the service supports the timely and appropriate discharge of inpatients from Western Health 

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Health Professional with APHRA or appropriate Australian peak body associations
  • Possess excellent leadership and organisation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capacity to be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
  • Have a high level of service wide analytical and data application
