Western Health is seeking an experienced manager to oversee workforce transition and improvement in the medical workforce unit.
The expansion of the Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department will result in a significant increase in emergency junior medical officers. This growth requires robust systems for the administrative management of medical staff by the medical workforce unit.
Reporting to the deputy chief medical officer, the Medical Workforce Unit ED Transition Manager is a fixed term role with primary responsibility to:
- facilitate a smooth transition of the administrative management of junior medical staff by all Emergency Departments to the MWU
- review the current processes and Identify and evaluate, planning and implementation of systems and process improvements in the MWU.
To be Successful in this Role you
- Have demonstrated clinical, medical workforce or administrative management experience
- Have ability to design and implement business processes and systems
- Have excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Have strong stakeholder management skills
- Have understanding of registration, management, training needs of medical workforce (desirable)
