About the Role

Responsible for advising on and supporting the learning and professional development of the workforce.  This role will also provide project and event coordination and delivery of all programs that build capability and foster positive workplace culture. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to build the skills, knowledge and capability of employees to enhance performance and expand career opportunities.

What we want you to do

  • Determine learning needs and work with providers and local experts to ensure delivery of learning programs that meet industry expectations and provide meaningful learning experiences.
  • Coordinate learning and development activity, including scheduling, event management, stakeholder engagement and program promotion.
  • Design and develop learning resources to support the programs and learning outcomes which may reflect the AQF or other required organisation development strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate program evaluation and prepare recommendations and reports
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of tools, reports and systems for delivering projects as per work plans, road maps and business plans.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders (employees, managers, volunteers, RTO partners and external providers) to ensure learning programs, evaluations and other interventions, meet needs.
  • Liaise with RTO Manager, external facilitators and training providers to deliver appropriate courses to employees.
  • Ensure appropriate management of employee training records and evaluations
  • Maintain a contemporary knowledge of learning and development modalities and available resources.
  • Adapt and evaluate ongoing programs to ensure they reflect best practice principles.
  • Provide project support and coordination to ensure the work of the unit is delivered on time. This includes, project plans, scheduling with stakeholders, developing collateral and other administrative support functions.
  • Ensure programs are reflected both the Releasing Talent and the Leadership, Management and Capability Development Framework at Western Health.
  • Work in collaboration with Workforce Planning to ensure emergent learning needs are met
  • Assist others in developing career pathways
