About the Role

Western Health Finance is seeking an experienced administration officer who is enthusiastic, has good work ethics, can work unsupervised and presents with a personality that affords them the ability to integrate well and contribute to the Accounts Administration Team.

As a casual employee, covering leave requirements, you will be required to assist with a number of different tasks in all areas of the administration accounts team, including the Patient Liaison officer role across campus

Duties

  • Talking to patients and/or their carers regarding cost for service or their private health insurance eligibility.
  • Liaising with Doctors and nursing staff regarding patient’s admission and account requirements and documentation.
  • Liaising with private health funds regarding patient claims, eligibility and collections.
  • Generating patient invoices for multiple entities such as TAC, Worksafe, private health insurers and travel funds.
  • Handling patient enquiries via telephone, email and face to face.

Accounts receivables or health industry experience is not necessary however to be eligible for this position you MUST be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent computer literacy - MS Office as a minimum
  • Strong experience in data entry and administrative tasks
  • A flexible, “hands-on,” proactive approach, with really good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist, screen and intercept telephone calls and ability to liaise face to face and via email with multiple individuals from the health sector, patients and their carers.
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role
  • Excellent customer service skills
