Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.

About the Role

Western Health, one of the largest providers of maternity services in Australia is looking to appoint enthusiastic and experienced Neonatologists. These positions will support the considerable growth experienced by Western Health over the last 5 years and help support the Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital and the expansion of the Level 5 Special Care Nursery to a Level 6 service and a brand new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This stand-alone facility on the Sunshine Hospital site is expected to open in May 2019 and will facilitate a transition to the next Level 6 (tertiary) maternity service in Victoria.

  • These positions would suit an experienced leader and clinician who is able to support the Head of Unit and drive the development of a new neonatal intensive care unit and support the neonatal service at Western Health to become the best in Australia.
  • This position would suit one with documented research output and experience with the ability to develop and support neonatal research.
  • Echocardiography skills are highly desirable
