About the Role

  • Postgraduate Qualification in Cardiac Nursing
  • Permanent Part/ Full Time – Footscray & Sunshine Hospital
  • Supported by a unit based educator

Western Health CCU is seeking RN’s with a postgraduate certificate in cardiac nursing who demonstrates outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills. The position is part time starting at 64hrs a fortnight; however applicants who would prefer 40 to 80hrs a fortnight are equally desirable. Successful applicants will have exceptional clinical skills, knowledge and time management skills as well as the maturity to lead by example.
Duties

  • Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies
  • Promote ongoing learning and education for all staff in the unit
  • Able to act as nurse in charge of unit
  • Provide exceptional care to patients in acute Cardiac Care setting
  • Competent in Advanced Life Support (ALS) to facilitate care and transport of monitored patients

Essential criteria

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor or Nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac/ Critical Care Nursing
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
  • Possess excellent clinical and organisation skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
