Women’s and Children’s Services at Sunshine Hospital provide quality health care for children, adolescents, newborns and women. Our model of care is client focused and utilises a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.  Our Special Care Nursery at Sunshine Hospital is a 21 bed high dependency unit responsible for the care of approximately 1,000 Neonates per year.  The SCN provides advanced resuscitation, stabilization and admissions from Maternity and Emergency Departments as well as Non-Acute surgical referrals and transfers from level 1, 2 and 3 hospitals.
