About the Role

The Engineering Services Department at Western Health are committed to ensuring that all buildings, grounds, services, plant, equipment, machinery, furniture, fixtures and fittings perform efficiently, are maintained and serviced in such a manner that they provide a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors to the hospital.

The Asset Manager is a key leadership position within Western Health, Health Support Services, providing leadership and support in relation to asset planning, service planning and the delivery of internal projects.

The Asset Manager role has full accountability for the accuracy of the WH Asset Management Framework, Assets and the Database.

The Asset Manager will be responsible for contractual compliance, in the areas of Contract Management, Fire Services, Project Management, Technical Engineering and Asset Optimisation.

With a wide range of equipment, buildings and grounds, this role requires someone with a background in leadership, management and asset maintenance, with a focus on leading a team from reactive maintenance environment to a well-planned, reliability centric maintenance delivery methodology.

Selection Criteria Essential: Engineering, Project Management and/or Construction Management Degree
Essential: 5+ year’s experience in strategic maintenance management
Essential: Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities and achievements
Essential: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead & motivate teams
