Position Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified dietitians for a part time (15.2 hrs pf), fixed term 12 months, Grade 3 dietitian at Sunshine Hospital. This newly created position will undertake an innovative role in diabetes management within the Better@Home program, which has recently been implemented in Western Health.The successful candidate will be both a clinical leader and have a clinical caseload who has a demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver excellence in patient care, service development and planning. The nutrition caseload, which will be managed via telehealth, includes outpatient clinics of those with type 1 diabetes on pumps or basal-bolus insulin. Also, women with type 1 diabetes who are planning to get pregnant and rapidly improving blood glucose control in people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian to join a newly created team, committed to excellence in clinical practice, research and professional development.
Must have, or be currently eligible for, membership of Dietitians Association of Australia.

To be Successful in this Role you

  • Are passionate about Diabetes, particularly Type 1 Diabetes management.
  • Have suitable experience, particularly in the management of Diabetes.
  • Have demonstrated leadership competencies.
