About Us Western Health manages three acute public hospitals: Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospital. It also operates the Sunbury Day Hospital, Transition Care at Hazeldean and a range of community based services. We care for a culturally diverse population of more than 800,000 people. Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
About the Role
The Western Health EMR Team is responsible for managing this major clinical system project within Western Health. This group is staffed by a multi-disciplinary project and clinical team, and are highly experienced in EMR deployments and change management in a clinical setting.
The EMR Team focuses not only on delivering a new solution and technology, but on preparing Western and its staff for the change. Western Health has in excess of 5500 staff that will be directly impacted by this project.
The EMR Team is responsible for local system design and configuration to ensure the system can best support clinical workflows within Western Health across all its sites. Staff within this team will be required to proactively work with key clinical areas and stakeholders within Western Health to identify system design requirements and implement strategies and sustainable processes in order to implement the EMR solution successfully.
The EMR Team is based at Footscray Hospital, however, all project staff, including trainers, shall work across all Western Health sites when required.
The role shall support the EMR implementation by providing EMR end user training to all disciplines within Western Health.
