An exciting opportunity to undertake Post Graduate Diploma Midwifery (PGDM) studies at Sunshine Hospital is available and on successful completion extends into the Graduate Midwifery Program.

Sunshine Hospital facilitates the Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery. Employment Model and Clinical Placement Model in conjunction with all Universities who offer the PGDM.

Clinical employment will commence in March 2017 for a 12 month program committing to three paid shifts and three unpaid clinical shifts per fortnight in the Employment Model or three shifts per fortnight unpaid in the Clinical placement Model. 

Clinical experience is allocated across the full midwifery continuum and includes:

• Birthing, Antenatal / Postnatal Services
• Neonatal Services
• Breast feeding Support Service
• Pregnancy Day Stay
• Midwifery in the Home
• Level Two Special Care Nursery

On successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery, your employment will be extended by a further 12 months in the Midwifery Graduate Program.

Opportunities are also available for those undertaking Post graduate studies to receive a scholarship.
