As a Nurse Unit Manager at Western Health, you will join a senior leadership group that is committed to enhancing the patient experience, inspiring fellow workers to be their best and creating a positive workplace culture. Our LEAP program ensures our unit managers provide nursing leadership excellence and accountable patient care. Join the team of our inspired and energetic Unit Managers who are members of LEAP and participate in peer leadership groups, leadership learning labs, workshops, guest speaker forums and a variety of other learning events.
The unit comprises two procedure rooms which accommodate a range of minor and major endoscopic procedures, some day medical patients and patient admissions for adult patients. The unit also contributes to the Western Health Nurse Endoscopy on-call service at Footscray and Sunshine campuses.
As a successful applicant you will be responsible for the provision of timely access and high quality patient care through effective leadership, management of staff and resources and the development of cooperative professional relationships with external stakeholders. In doing this, you will have strong leadership qualities and communication skills, to ensure the delivery of timely and appropriate patient access to Specialist Care.
If you are Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia and hold a current practicing certificate, have previous leadership and management experience and demonstrated advanced skills relevant to Perioperative and Day Procedure Nursing then take the LEAP and apply.
