Western Health, Drug Health Services is seeking a vibrant, suitably qualified and experienced clinician to join our Women’s Rehabilitation program. The program aims to help reduce disruptive behaviour and maximises social and personal functioning, and is offered as short term non-residential rehabilitation for women and their children, operating from a harm reduction perspective. This position consists of two distinct roles.
Firstly, the successful Drug & Alcohol Clinician is a member of a small cohesive team which works together to offer a therapeutic recovery environment, providing a range of therapeutic groups and related activities for women, within a Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation model.
Secondly, this is a partnership program with The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), Child Protection (CP) Preston & Footscray, and is located at DHHS CP two days per week. The Drug & Alcohol Clinician will provide expert clinical assessments with parents whose children have child protection involvement, providing detailed assessment/ court reports with comprehensive treatment recommendations, secondary consult to Child Protection practitioners, as well as a small training and education component.
This is a Full time fixed term position until 30th June 2018.
