About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated, experienced and suitably qualified nurse to join our leadership team where your contribution to excellence will be valued and recognised.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is at the forefront of the provision of high quality patient care within the Labs, striving to achieve the highest standards in clinical practise, teaching and research.
As an ANUM you will work closely with the NUM to provide safe environment for staff and patients and a positive work culture and lead departmental quality improvements for the service.
Western Health has 3 Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories across both Footscray and Sunshine campuses, providing both acute and elective services including coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, electrophysiology and pacing and one of the busiest 24/7 acute STEMI service provider in Melbourne.
The cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories are part of Western Health’s large Cardiology service supported by Coronary Care units and Cardiac diagnostic units at both sites.
In collaboration with the Intensive care unit we will be the first in Victoria to introduce a specific cardiogenic shock programme including use of Impella mechanical support device commencing late 2019.
Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Completed a post graduate qualification in critical care nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing
- Passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
- Accountable and demonstrate strong, supportive and engaging leadership style
- Previous management experience advantageous not essential
