Western Health manages three acute public hospitals: Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospital. It also operates the Sunbury Day Hospital, Transition Care at Hazeldean and a range of community based services. We care for a culturally diverse population of more than 800,000 people. Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
About the Program
The Western Health Year 10 Work Experience Program provides students with an opportunity to gain an insight into the healthcare industry. This program will provide a variety of experience which is administrative based only. The program is coordinated by the People & Culture department at Footscray Hospital.
Work Experience is available to students undertaking Year 10 in 2018. Students are given the opportunity to spend five working days in departments/wards across Western Health sites.
