Position Summary

The Western Health Drug Health Services Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Centre (Westside Lodge) provides a supportive and safe inpatient environment over a period of 3 months, for people aged 18 years and over requiring a client centred, recovery oriented Dual Diagnosis rehabilitation program.

Westside Lodge Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Centre is currently seeking an experienced psychologist who will be primarily responsible for psychological assessment and intervention of clients to assist with diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning.  The psychologist will also be involved in the provision of consultation to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff in relation to more complex mental health disorders, clinical presentations and managment of the client's associated behaviours.

Selection Criteria Essential: Fully qualified psychologist
Essential: Membership or eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society and relevant college(s)
Essential: Current registration with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical or Health Psychology
Essential: Demonstrated clinical competence in the field of psychology to a senior level
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team as well as liaise and consult with a range of clients, carers, professionals and community agencies as an independent clinician
Essential: Demonstrated time management skills, and the ability to generate strategies for prioritizing workloads effectively
Essential: Current Working with Children Check
Essential: demonstrated ability in providing leadership within teams as a senior staff member
Essential: Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
Desirable: experience in the application of psychology in community settings
Desirable: Experience in the application of psychology with individuals experiencing Dual Diagnosis and associated comorbidities
Desirable: Knowledge and compliance with the Australian Psychologists' Ethical Guidelines of Practice
Desirable: Experience in the clinical supervision of other staff
