About the Role
Following the successful implementation of the EMR at Western Health, Western Health is in the process of implementing new EMR functionalities to better support the growing demand from frontline staff. The EMR Project Team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the existing project team.
The successful applicant will have track record implementing large scale projects or programs within the healthcare industry.
Reporting the EMR Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all project support staff as well as providing the day to day management of the project office. In this role you will be required to establish a close working relationship with the Digital Technology Services team, Health and Information Performance team and EMR project team.
Leading the project team you will:
- Develop and manage all project plans within the department.
- Track and communicate the project status.
- Manage project risks, issues and scope within the governance structure ensuring appropriate reporting, escalation and approvals.
- Leading the preparation and seeking endorsement of key project documents ensuring all deliverables are clearly communicated and agreed upon.
- Balance the project schedule, scope, budget and resources across multiple teams to ensure optimal project outcomes and timelines are achieved.
- Oversee the financial governance and contract management processes within the EMR project team to ensure adherence to agreed approvals and delegations.
- Be the key contact person for all project assurance and audit activities.
The Senior Project Manager currently has two positions reporting to the role and is a crucial member of the EMR Project team.
