About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Registered Nurse interested in a leadership position to undertake an Associate Nurse Unit Manager role in an integrated Sub acute Unit at Footscray Hospital. 

As a member of the nursing leadership team, the Associate Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for the provision of high quality nursing care to patients within the unit through effective leadership and management of all nursing staff.  A key requirement of the role will be to implement a model of nursing care based on a functional team approach.

The Unit operates 36 beds for patients requiring geriatric evaluation and management, Acute care medicine as well as general surgery. The unit operates an interprofessional practice model in partnership with palliative and geriatric medicine, nursing, allied health, ancillary services and our volunteer team.

The successful candidate will and has the passion to care for older people and people at the end of life. They will have demonstrated the ability to practice collaboratively as part of an interprofessional health care team.
