Adult Specialist Clinics (ASC) at Western Health (Footscray Hospital) is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager.  ASC provide expert review and management for patients requiring consultation by specialist clinicians. The Specialist Clinic setting acts as a conduit for patients accessing services at Western Health provides care and ongoing management and ensures referral and communication pathways are in place to optimise the patient journey.  

As the Nurse Unit Manager you will lead by example and foster a team focused environment. In this role you will provide management of, and leadership to, employees by ensuring that clinical practice and delivery of excellent patient centred care is provided, consistent with the Western Health Best Care Framework through comprehensive, safe and evidence-based practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification and/or clinical experience
• Well-developed management and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment. 
• Ability to build, lead, nurture and empower impactful teams
• Innovative approach to improving service delivery
