About the Role

Seeking an enthusiastic Grade 1 Clinical Pharmacist to join our team on a casual basis, with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team to provide excellent patient care.  This is also a unique chance to support the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during November and December 2018.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to apply for several permanent positions that are expected to become available in early 2019.

Duties

  • To support EMR training implementation by assisting clinical areas to draft the transfer of patient medication orders from paper to electronic
  • To ensure patient outcomes are optimized by working to achieve the best Quality Use of Medicines
  • Support prescribers and patients to maximize clinical benefits of drugs and minimize unwanted reactions
  • Provide clinical and dispensing services to patients and clients of Western Health

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Eligible for general registration with AHPRA. 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of pharmacy services, particularly a demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the SHPA Guidelines.

Selection Criteria Essential: Must be registered with or eligible to be registered with AHPRA as a pharmacist.
Desirable: Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
