Registered Nurse – NICU- Sunshine
Temporary Part Time – 36 Hrs per f/N

An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary Registered Nurse position in Newborn Services.

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Mental Health Nursing Transition Program.
Temporary Part Time – 64 Hrs per f/n – (0.8) EFT.

We are excited to offer this program to RN’s with ED nursing experience to undertake training in a recognised mental health nursing education program. The program offers opportunity to develop mental health nursing skills within a supported department with allocated professional development days. 

Western Health is excited to offer this program to Registered Nurses with emergency nursing experience to take the next step in their professional development to enhance their career by undertaking training in a recognised mental health nursing education program. The program offers an excellent opportunity to develop mental health nursing skills within a dynamic, supported department. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, a strong clinical supervision component and competency based skill development requirements. Participants will be supported by a dedicated program coordinator as well as an Educator in Mental Health Nursing and Alcohol and Other Drugs Nursing.

About the Program:
-        Part-time 0.8 EFT – on successful completion ongoing employment will be offered at Western Health Emergency Department to consolidate theory and practice
-         18 month program that contributes towards qualifications in mental health nursing 
-         Employment within Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department 

 Entry Requirements:
-         Current AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
-         Minimum of 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.          (Previous experience in Emergency Nursing highly desirable).

Registered Nurse – 3B – Footscray
Permanent Part Time – 64 Hours per f/N (0.8FTE)

3B has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and positive Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent basis. The position will be a 64 hour a fortnight, rotating 7 day roster. 

Ward 3B is located at Western Health's Footscray Campus. The ward consists of 23 beds and is a range of subacute and acute patients. 3B specialise in GEM, Acute Aged Care, General Medicine & OGS care. 

You will be part of a clinical environment that has a supportive and approachable team. Our team works closely together to provide a safe environment for patients and staff, where you will have the opportunity to make a positive and rewarding contribution to patient care.

Registered Nurse – GEM Ward – Williamstown
Temporary Part Time 64 hrs per f/n or Permanent Part Time - 48hrs per f/n.

The GEM Ward at Williamstown Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the team. The GEM ward is a collaborative team environment. The Nurse’s in the GEM Ward work closely with the inter-professional team to ensure patients can receive the highest quality care. Registered Nurse - Adult Specialist Clinic (ASC)–Footscray.
Permanent Full Time or 0.8 (EFT) will be considered for the right applicant.

Adult Specialist Clinic (ASC) located at Footscray is seeking a Registered Nurse with outstanding clinical and interpersonal ability to further strengthen our team who is also highly motivated and caring.  This positon is Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday with the ability to be rostered on 4 different shift form 8.00am – 6.00pm.

The Adult Specialist Clinics (ASC) at Western Health provide expert review and management for patients requiring consultation by specialist clinicians. The Specialist Clinic setting acts as a conduit for patients accessing services at Western Health and provides care and ongoing management and ensures referral and communication pathways are in place to optimize the patient journey. Service delivery is provided across the patient continuum of care by the Specialist Clinics Nursing, Referral Management and Patient Management Teams.

 The objective of the Specialist Clinics coordinated team approach is to improve patient access and processes - in essence this equates to “right patient, right clinic, right time”.

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of care and provide the role of resource to the unit

Registered Nurse – Day Procedure Unit – Footscray
Permanent Part Time – 64 Hrs. per F/N (0.8) FTE

The Day Procedure Unit in Footscray is seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse leader for this rewording, yet dynamic nursing opportunity in the Day Procedure Unit (DPU). This Registered Nurse position is a Permanent Part Time, (64 hours per fortnight).

The DPU is a fast paced environment which is responsible for admitting all elective surgical and endoscopy patients at Footscray Hospital. The unit is supported by two procedure rooms which undertake a range of day medical, endoscopy, respiratory and same cardiology procedures. This position encompasses both morning and afternoon shifts.

We are seeking Registered Nurse that can demonstrate acute care skills and experience with caring for elderly patients with multi morbidity, frailty and/or disability that benefit from a multidisciplinary team approach to their care.  You will have a passion to care for older people with complex care needs.

Ward 2A Sunshine Hospital operates 36 beds for patients requiring Acute Aged Care. The unit operates an inter professional practice model in partnership with geriatric medicine, nursing, allied health, ancillary services and our volunteer team. Ward 2A has a strong interface with the Emergency Department and many speciality areas.

The Nursing team is supported by experienced Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Instructors who provide clinical education and supervision in this unit seven days a week.  Both full time and part time positions are also available.

The Chemotherapy Day Unit (CDU) is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Oncology Trained Registered Nurses on a casual basis (BANK).  The CDU operates from Monday to Friday from 0800-1730. The treatment area includes 15 chemotherapy chairs and a procedure room with 2 recovery bays for oncology related invasive procedures.

To be successful for this role you must meet the following:

•             Experience in IVC/CVAD/chemo is essential for this role

•             Chemotherapy competency (eviQ 8 x ADAC modules preferred)

•             Experience administering chemotherapy

•             Ability to work 0800-1630 and 0900-1730 shifts
