An exciting opportuntiy to join the senior Nursing and Midwifery team at Western Health and be part of a fast growing, energetic and vibrant health service.
The Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit (NMWU) provides workforce support and management for nursing and midwifery units across the 5 Western Health sites.
The unit:
- manages and allocates over 400 casual and pool nurses and midwives,
- provides EFT management support together with information and workforce analysis to organisational divisions on workforce issues,
- provides assistance with best practice rostering
- undertakes major Nursing and Midwifery workforce projects.
The NMWU is seeking a highly motivated registered nurse with workforce management experience to undertake the role of Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery to provide an innovative approach to Nursing and Midwifery workforce solutions.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will report to the Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery, NMWU.
You will have:
- A strong background in people management with highly developed project management and report writing skills
- Your data management and mining skills will be highly developed to enable you to provide current and responsive reports on the changing paradigm of the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce
- Strong commitment to professional nursing and midwifery procedure and a stead to manage the credentialing processes for nurses and midwives
