About the Role

Security Team Leader/ Supervisor

Western Health seeks an experienced Security Industry Professional who wishes to join a dynamic leadership team at the forefront of providing a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.

We are seeking a passionate and committed Full Time Security Team Leader/ Supervisor to join our current leadership team who will be employed in a dual leadership role. The successful person will be responsible for delivering innovative, high quality security operations and training services throughout our Western Health network.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the delivery of security services within the health care environment.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles in a multidisciplinary environment, including the supervision and training of security staff.
  • Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment -TAE 40110 or TAE 40116 (or working towards completion within three months of appointment)
  • Solid working knowledge of security systems and equipment including CCTV and access control.
  • Cert IV in Security Risk Management – PRS40598 (superseded) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and evaluations skills.
  • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of resource management within budgetary and operational constraints.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proven ability to actively contribute to the principles of best practise and continual improvement.
  • A high level of physical fitness and personal presentation

Desirable:

  • Similar leadership role in a health care environment.
  • Proven training experience in a clinical environment.
  • Diploma of Leadership and Management – BSB 51915 or equivalent.
