About the Role

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Division 1 to work part time in the Emergency Department Sunshine Hospital, Western Health with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and that demonstrate a willingness to develop and maintain their own knowledge.

  • Permanent, Part Time 64 hour fortnight.
  • Contribute to the decisions that shape our health service.
  • The support of a unit based educator.

An excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced RN with post graduate certificate in Emergency Nursing preferred, but not essential to join our Emergency Department Team.

Duties

  • Unsupervised clinical practice
  • Coordination of care
  • Counselling, health promotion and teaching, patient advocacy
  • Collaborative patient and unit management
  • Research, supervision and mentorship/preceptorship
  • Interaction/liaison with multidisciplinary team
  • Accurate and timely documentation

Essential Criteria

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing/ Critical Care Nursing (preferred, but not essential)
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
  • Possess excellent clinical and organisation skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
