Your Role
As a Nurse you will work at the forefront of the provision of high quality nursing care to patients on a day-to-day basis and specialise in NICU and/or SCN. With the opening of the new Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s (JKWC) service, become part of the expanding and leading edge Western Health Woman & Children’s team.
Our ideal candidates will have:
- Registration as Midwife and/or Nurse with AHPRA
- Enthusiasm to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience across the scope of practice and understanding of midwifery and/or nursing issues
- Great communication skills
- Most importantly, a commitment to high quality, safe and person centred patient care!
Our Organisation

The JKWC service will include 20 labour delivery rooms, brand new NICU cots, 39 SCN cots, 64 women’s inpatient beds, 32 children’s inpatient beds, 4 operating theatres and additional outpatient clinics. There are opportunities to work part time, full time or casually across the full scope of practice. In addition we offer support to develop clinical knowledge and skills or undertake research with key academic partners.
