About the Role
Seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 3 Pharmacist with outstanding clinical, interpersonal and leadership skills to oversee and further develop the Western Health Pharmacy Service education program.
- Permanent, Full-Time
- Based at Footscray Hospital but also travel to other campuses as required
- Provide education services to Western Health Pharmacy Department
- Contribute to the decisions that shape our health service
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Pharmacist to play an integral role in the education and development of pharmacy staff.
Duties
- Line management of pharmacy interns and students,
- Co-ordination of the pharmacy department’s continuing education program and overseeing pharmacy education to clinical staff across all campuses.
- Management and co-ordination of teaching and training for pharmacy interns, pharmacy students (undergraduate and postgraduate), pharmacy technicians and work experience students undertaking placements across all campuses of Western Health.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Eligible for general registration with AHPRA.
- Relevant Post Graduate Qualification.
- Broad experience in providing clinical pharmacy services and a proven ability to develop, implement and assess education, training and quality activities.
- Highly developed written and oral communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of different learning and supervision styles and an ability to apply these styles to teaching of staff and students with a broad range of abilities and skills.
- Well-developed knowledge of information systems and technology, and the ability to apply this knowledge for education purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and demonstrate initiative within it as well as successfully managing the implementation of change.
- Well-developed team management skills, conflict management skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
