Position Summary |
The Graduate Registered Nurse Pool program will push you to challenge yourself to reach your full potential and prepare you to move into the next phase of your nursing career across a range of clinical areas. This is a one year supported program and provides access to a team of educators, state of the art education facilities and a supportive management team. We offer extensive orientation at the commencement of the program and multiple study days throughout the year. The program is structured to provide you with experience in a variety of medical, surgical and sub-acute wards across Western Health, rewarding you with a breadth of knowledge and skills to provide best patient care.
To apply, applicants are asked to complete a three step process:
Step 1- Apply to PMCV (www.pmcv.com.au) and use the computer match system listing Western Health graduate nurse Pool program amongst your preferences.
Step 2 - Apply to Western Health using the online Erecruit process. Each application must include:
Letter of application (no more than one page)
Concise curriculum vitae including a list of all undergraduate clinical placements and any other employment history that may include positions outside of healthcare.
A certified transcript of all results (key to results to be included)
Complete copies of the two most recent acute adult clinical nursing student assessments. Please note that assessments from Mental Health placements will not be accepted.
Name, position and contact details of two referees. Details must include referee contact numbers and an email address. At least one of your referees must have directly supervised your undergraduate clinical experience during your third year and preferably in an acute adult placement. Referees from Mental Health placements will not be accepted. Please contact the Deputy Director Nursing and Midwifery Workforce to discuss any alternatives prior to application.
Step 3 - Attend interview on request.
