Our continued growth will see the completion of a new purpose built, multi-storey Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
About the Role
The Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s hospital is scheduled to open in mid-May 2019. Applications are invited for the above positions of Infection Prevention Nurse Consultants (IPCNC).
Infection Prevention & Control CNC Grade 4 to Grade 5
Reporting to the Manager - Infection Prevention & Control, the CNC is accountable and responsible to work collaboratively with the Infection Prevention Team members at Western Health to support and promote infection prevention systems according to national and other relevant standards while acting as a resource person to provide evidence based information to facilitate high quality patient and health service outcomes in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Skills & Experience OR Essential Criteria
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be innovative and motivated with a background in Infection Prevention and a post graduate qualification in Infection Prevention. For more information, please refer to the position description and or contact us below.
It is a condition of employment for the employee in this role to be, and remain, vaccinated against or non-susceptible to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs): Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough) and Hepatitis B.
