About the Role

Seeking an enthusiastic Grade 1 Clinical Pharmacist to work full time in the Sunshine Hospital Pharmacy Department with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills that demonstrate a willingness to develop and maintain their knowledge

  • Permanent, Full time 80 hours per fortnight  - available from 02/04/2019  
  • Contribute to the decisions that shape our health service

An excellent opportunity for a passionate and energetic Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team.

Duties

  • To ensure patient outcomes are optimized by working to achieve the best Quality Use of Medicines
  • Support prescribers and patients to maximize clinical benefits of drugs and minimize unwanted reactions
  • Minimise treatment costs by optimizing drug prescribing and supply
  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy advice to range of specialties

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Eligible for general registration with AHPRA.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold general registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)?
Essential: Do you have well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to co-operate with all hospital staff and patients?
Essential: Do you have sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of pharmacy services, particularly a demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the SHPA Guidelines?
Desirable: Do you have previous hospital pharmacy experience?
