About the Role
Seeking an experienced Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist to work full time in Pharmacy across Western Health sites with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills that demonstrate a willingness to develop and maintain their knowledge
- Permanent, Full Time 80 hours per fortnight - Available from 26/04/2019
- Contribute to the decisions that shape our health service
- Rotate across Footscray and Sunshine Hospital Pharmacy Departments
- Support the clinical co-ordinator
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at Western Health
Duties
- To ensure patient outcomes are optimized by working to achieve the best Quality Use of Medicines
- Support prescribers and patients to maximize clinical benefits of drugs and minimize unwanted reactions
- Minimise treatment costs by optimizing drug prescribing and supply
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy advice to range of specialties
- Actively participate and support educational and operational activities of the department
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Eligible for general registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in providing clinical pharmacy services to a broad range of specialty areas.
- Ability to work across any Western Health Campus
