Position Summary

The Drug Health Services, Community Residential Withdrawal Service provides a short term residential program to individuals with substance use issues.  The primary focus of the service is on drug withdrawal and stabilisation.  The program includes medical and pharmacological treatment, along with psychosocial support, health education and recreational activities in a safe environment.

 

The food services supervisor is responsible for menu planning, ordering and direct food preparation for the residents of the unit. Managing and maintaining food safety standards.They are required to focus on good nutrition and the ability to educate and engage the client group to focus on a healthy diet as part of their recovery

Selection Criteria Essential: Relevant qualifications such as Chef training
Essential: Food Safety Supervisor certificate
Essential: Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking and food safety.
Essential: Food handling certificate
Essential: High standard of personal hygiene
Essential: Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Essential: Current driver’s licence
Essential: Current Working with Children check
Desirable: Previous experience providing food services for complex clients
