Position Summary

Western Health is seeking a Paediatric Speech Pathologist (Grade 2) to work within the Paediatric Program of its Integrated Community Health Service. This is a 0.6 FTE part-time, permanent position. Working within a dynamic and diverse multidisciplinary team and alongside community paediatricians, you will be enabling young people and their families to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

You will be supported to progress your career with high quality supervision and professional development opportunities by working alongside medical and allied health clinicians from our specialist programs and clinics. Examples of our programs are Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic, Developmental Assessment Clinic, Hanen Program and Paediatric Eating Assessments.

To be Successful in this Role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing difficulties within the paediatric setting
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • An interest in working in partnership with families using a family centred, strengths based approach
  • An interest in providing capacity building supports in the client’s community
